Smith College Greenhouses and Bulb Show
Stay here at Stone House Farm and enjoy a cup of tea in our bulb show in our conservatory porch. We have blooming cyclamens, cymbidium orchids, daffodils and hyacinths, amaryllis and much more. Then head on down to the Mt Holyoke College bulb show, for another delicious experience of mid-winter floral delight!
Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art
Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art
The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art is located here in Amherst. In our opinion they have the best children's book selection within their store that we've ever seen. Free crafts classes and lovely short movies for kids in the theater make it a favorite destination for my grandchildren. Bring a picnic and enjoy!
Emily Dickinson Museum
Emily Dickinson Museum
The Emily Dickinson Museum is made up of two houses in the center of Amherst, Massachusetts. The Homestead was the birthplace of Emily Dickinson—renounced and famous American poet. Take a 60-minute guided tour of the property to learn more about classic American literature.

Miss Saigon
Miss Saigon
Miss Saigon has a good lunch menu, filled with Vietnamese food. They have a wide assortment of noodles and salads, complemented with plenty of other options such as shrimp egg-rolls or even roasted duck. I'm especially fond of the soups, because they're so tasty and lovely to look at with all the fresh ingredients.
Bub's BBQ
Bub's BBQ
Bub's BBQ is a casual, home-style grill house on 116 just north of town. It's got an old, funky vibe, which seems to draw in the crowd. Be sure to arrive early to beat the crowd! They've been going strong for nearly 40 years, bringing the entire valley delicious barbecued ribs and re-fried beans.
Pulse Cafe
Pulse Cafe
The Pulse Cafe is a new vegan restaurant in the area, working with 100% plant-based ingredients. They pride themselves on their beautiful presentation of mouth-watering, healthy food. Their menu ranges anywhere from wood-fired pizzas to burgers and wraps.
